Beer And Popcorn: Additive Of Death

Scott Reid's concern that parents might spend their federal child care allowance on beer and popcorn might have been more for their health than their spending habits, after all:

Seems that diacetyl, that substance responsible for that buttery/butterscotch flavor found in some beers is used in the popcorn industry as a source of butter flavoring. Problem is workers exposed to this stuff are experiencing health issues. How popcorn flavoring destroys your lungs.

I now have further reason to avoid buttery beers like those produced by Middle Ages.
