Pay No Attention To The Imam Behind The Curtain

If the MSM had remained your sole source of news and information, you would think that the riots in Paris had been caused by young Frenchmen rioting against their poverty and lack of opportunity, at first.

Later, you would have heard mention of immigrants, eventually described as coming from some vaguely defined region called North Africa, protesting racism in French society.

If you remembered how quickly the New Orleans rioting petered out, you would have been at a loss to figure out why the riots spread from Paris to more than 300 cities in France, and endured with such intensity for two weeks.

You might also have had no idea why the rioters in France, if they were so poor, didn't seem to be looting shops for everything they could lay their hands on.

And you would be at a complete loss to understand why promises of increased social spending and job creation programs did nothing to quell the riots.

The MSM, in short, would have imparted a lot of information, but little actual knowledge.

By censoring itself so thoroughly to avoid any mention of the leading role of Muslims in the riots--whether out of fear or ideological motivations--the MSM has failed in its self-declared role as honest and objective reporters of the situation.

I don't need to tell most readers of this blog about MSM media bias and politically correct censorship. But there are still many people who don't follow the blogosphere and believe that the MSM can be relied on to tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth.

They're the ones the blogosphere needs to reach, and soon, before this story disappears from the front pages.
